Biotrue Hydration Boost Eye Drops are preservative free drops that provide instant moisture to eyes that are dry and irritated from screen and environmental stressors.

The active ingredient in Biotrue eye drops is glycerin, a moisturizer found naturally in tears. The glycerin in our formula is plant based. Our formula also contains hyaluronan (HA), another moisturizer found naturally in tears, as well as an electrolyte and an antioxidant to protect the HA from free radicals.

Yes. Unlike most eye drops that contain preservatives, you can use Biotrue eye drops while wearing your soft contact lenses. However, Biotrue eye drops are not indicated to rewet contact lenses.

Biotrue Hydration Boost Eye Drops have not been tested for use with GP (RGP) lenses. We recommend applying Biotrue drops while you’re not wearing your GP (RGP) lenses and then waiting 10 minutes before inserting your lenses.

Bausch + Lomb will begin shipping Biotrue Hydration Boost Eye Drops in early June 2021, and the product will be available for purchase at most major retailers by mid-July. Select retailers might have the product on shelves at different times throughout 2021.

Bausch + Lomb provides retailers with suggested retail pricing, but all pricing is at the retailers’ discretion.

Directions for use are as follows:
STEP 1: remove tamper evident ring
STEP 2: remove cap
STEP 3: tip bottle at a downward angle or upside down (to deliver drop to eye)
STEP 4: squeeze bottle to instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed
STEP 5: replace cap after use

Biotrue Hydration Boost Eye Drops are available in 10ml preservative free multi-dose bottles. Some retail stores also carry a two – 10ml bottle configuration. Samples in 5 count single dose units / vials are also available through some doctor offices and other sampling programs.

How long the bottle lasts will depend on how frequently you use it. Because our special cap keeps the product sterile, you can use Biotrue drops from the time you break the seal all the way through to the expiration date.
